The littlest chorões As meninas do Balaio de Gato

These girls are not my daughters or even friends of the family. Theyre three Brazilian sisters who happen to be accomplished choro musicians. Corina plays flute, Lia plays guitar, and the youngest, Elisa, plays bandolim. Together they make up three-fifths of the choro ensemble Balaio de Gato, where their father, Eduardo Ferreira, plays pandeiro and young Adriano Andrade plays cavaquinho.
Utterly professional, the kids have already toured, played with the lions of choro, and recorded a live CD. Dont believe it? Visit their website, where you can watch their music videos (one of these is Ernesto Nazareths Brejeiro, to give you an idea of their repertoire), and see them with Presidente Lula.
They also have good taste. Musica Brasiliensis is among the websites they recommend.
